SC v 5.5.3 resolves Mac and Windows glitches
Splendid City version 5.5.3 adds platform specific
bug fixes.
On the Mac platform, this version fixes a backwards
compatibility glitch for Java 1.4.2 users that was introduced when Apple
released the latest Java 1.5 update. Users who upgraded to Java 1.5 were
unaffected, however late adopters or Panther or Jaguar users who maintained the
Java 1.4.x VM as the default where unable to use several features. This has now
been resolved with this latest release.
On the Windows platform, in the rare
event users object naming coincides with reserved windows file names (for
example when the software attempts to create an .html file with a reserved
Windows OS name), the software was not allowing the schedules to be published.
This has been handled with more robust error checking when publishing schedule
data.
