Splendid City v6.8.5 adds new round robin scheduling algorithm.
Splendid City v6.8.5 appends a new 'Odd Balancing'
round robin scheduling algorithm to it's round robin scheduling options.
Splendid City version 6.8.5 adds a new round robin
scheduling algorithm to it's existing collection of round robin scheduling
choices. The 'Odd Balancing' Round Robin schedule type offers an optimized
algorithm for balancing odd numbers of team's play time per round. So if you
have X teams (where X represents an odd number) playing a round comprised of X
games, each team will play twice.
In
addition the round of games can be split so that the first [(X+1)/2] games
allows all teams to play once with the exception of one team playing twice, and
the round's subsequent [X/2] games all teams play once again except for the team
that was chosen to play twice in the first part of the round allowing for all
teams to play a balance of two games per
round.
The team that plays twice in the
first part of the round is chosen in a round robin fashion, ensuring a balance
of play times for the
teams.
NOTE: Splendid City
project files saved with this new version will not be backwards compatible with
older Splendid City versions.
